Terms of Service
Last updated · 17 July 2026
These terms set out the basis on which QSY.to is provided. Please read them carefully. By requesting access, holding an account, or creating or managing a route, you agree to them.
01About QSY.to
QSY.to is a privately operated, invitation-only service that redirects a memorable QSY.to address to a destination chosen by an approved account holder. It is operated under the name QSY.to (the Operator, we, us or our). You can contact us by email at privacy@qsy.to.
The service is a small, independently operated routing utility. It is not a communications carrier, archival service, emergency service or guaranteed business-continuity service.
02When these terms apply
These terms apply when you visit QSY.to, follow a QSY.to route, request access, hold an account or create or manage a route. If you create an account, you must actively accept these terms. Our Privacy Notice explains how we use personal information.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not request or use an account. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
03Eligibility and access
Account access is by invitation and is not an entitlement. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms to hold an account.
We may accept, decline or defer any access or route request at our discretion. Approval of one request does not oblige us to approve another. Accounts are personal to the approved user unless we agree otherwise in writing and may not be sold, transferred, shared or sublicensed.
You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current and promptly tell us if your account or credentials may have been compromised.
04Routes and addresses
Subject to these terms, an approved account holder may ask us to assign a QSY.to address and route it to an authorised destination. We retain control of the QSY.to domain, service and address namespace. A route assignment gives you a limited, personal, revocable permission to use that address through the service; it does not transfer ownership or create a property right in the address.
You are responsible for each destination you select and for ensuring that you remain authorised to use it. You must check a route after creating or changing it. Redirects, browser caches, search engines, third-party systems and permanent redirects may continue to remember an earlier destination after a change.
We may reject, rename, reserve, disable, retire or reassign an address where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, inactivity, mistaken allocation or enforcement of these terms. Where practical and safe, we will give the affected account holder notice.
05Acceptable use
You must not use, attempt to use or help another person use QSY.to:
- for anything unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, abusive or harmful;
- for phishing, credential theft, malware, spam, unsolicited marketing, scams or impersonation;
- to link to content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
- to distribute sexual exploitation material, non-consensual intimate material, terrorist content or other illegal content;
- to promote hatred, violence, harassment, self-harm, illegal goods or unlawful services;
- to expose another person’s private information without a lawful basis;
- to conceal a destination in a materially misleading way or evade another service’s controls;
- to interfere with, probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer or compromise the service or another user’s account;
- to resell the service, operate a public shortening service through it or generate routes automatically without written permission; or
- for an emergency, safety-critical, medical, financial or other use where delay, failure or misrouting could cause serious harm.
We may review a proposed or active destination and take proportionate technical and administrative measures to prevent abuse. Report suspected misuse to privacy@qsy.to. An abuse report does not guarantee a particular outcome, but we will assess credible reports and comply with applicable legal duties.
06Accounts and security
You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our breach of duty. Use a unique, strong password, protect your credentials and sign out on shared devices. Notify us promptly at privacy@qsy.to if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may require a password reset, suspend access or block traffic where we reasonably believe this is necessary to protect users, the service or third parties.
07Third-party destinations
QSY.to routes lead to websites and services controlled by third parties. We do not operate, endorse or control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, accessibility, privacy practices, transactions or subsequent redirects. The destination’s own terms and privacy notice apply when you reach it.
Following a short link always involves risk. Visitors should check the final domain before entering credentials, making a payment or downloading a file.
08Service availability, changes and withdrawal
The service is provided free of charge on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a minimum service level, continued support for any feature, preservation of traffic statistics, or that a route will always reach its intended destination.
We may maintain, restrict, change, suspend or discontinue any feature, route, account or the entire service. We may permanently withdraw QSY.to at any time, including for technical, security, legal, financial, operational or personal reasons. Where reasonably practicable, we will try to give account holders advance notice of a planned permanent closure, but we do not guarantee notice where urgent action is required or circumstances are outside our control.
You are responsible for maintaining your own destination records, communications plan and alternative links. Do not make QSY.to your only means of accessing essential content.
09Suspension and termination
You may ask us to close your account or disable a route by contacting privacy@qsy.to.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we reasonably believe there is unlawful or abusive use, a security threat, a material breach of these terms, risk to another person, or a legal or regulatory requirement. We may otherwise terminate an account or route on reasonable notice where practicable. Sections intended by their nature to continue after termination, including responsibility, intellectual property, liability and governing law, will continue.
10Intellectual property
QSY.to, its interface, software, graphics and branding belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you.
You retain rights in information and material you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, transmit and technically process that material only as needed to operate, secure and administer the service and comply with law. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.
11Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not give any warranty that the service will be error-free, secure, continuously available, suitable for a particular purpose, compatible with every browser or destination, or free from third-party interference. Traffic counts and other statistics are indicative only and must not be treated as audited or complete.
We are not responsible for decisions or commitments made in reliance on a route, traffic count or continued service availability.
12Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any mandatory consumer right.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings, data, traffic, routes or reputation;
- we are not liable for the acts, omissions, content, availability or security of a third-party destination;
- we are not liable for failure, delay, misrouting, cached redirects, unauthorised changes or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control; and
- our total aggregate liability arising from or connected with the service in any 12-month period will not exceed £100.
If you use the service wholly or mainly for business purposes, you agree that the exclusions above apply to business losses whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise. If you are a consumer, we are responsible only for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill; we are not responsible for business losses.
If you use QSY.to for business and your unlawful use, destination or breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you will reimburse our reasonable losses and costs to the extent caused by your breach. This does not apply to a consumer acting outside a trade, business, craft or profession.
13Legal requests and enforcement
We may preserve or disclose information, restrict access or cooperate with public authorities where we reasonably believe this is required by law, a valid legal process, the protection of rights or safety, or the investigation and prevention of fraud or abuse. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law, security or our operations. We will publish the revised terms with a new date. For material changes affecting account holders, we will provide reasonable notice by email or within the service where practicable. Continued account use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, you must stop using the account and may ask us to close it.
15General
If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your agreement with us without written permission; we may transfer it as part of a genuine reorganisation or transfer of the service, provided this does not reduce mandatory rights.
No person other than you and the Operator has a right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
16Governing law and courts
These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you use the service for business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
17Contact
Questions about these terms, and abuse or illegal-content reports, can be sent by email to privacy@qsy.to. QSY.to is contactable by email only.
